Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. The core tools are available without registration.

How does the random selection work?

The tools use a browser random source and unbiased selection algorithms. Selection happens on your device. The result is not independently verified.

Are draw results independently audited?

No. These tools do not provide third-party verification, a tamper-proof record, or proof of fairness.

Do repeated names get a better chance?

In the winner picker and wheel, repeated lines are separate entries, so a name listed more than once has more chances. Review the list and rules before drawing.

Can I choose more than one winner?

Yes. Use the multiple-winner draw to select several unique names and keep them in draw order. You can also set alternate winners.

Can I save or share the results?

Use the copy and download controls on each tool to keep a local result file. The toolkit does not upload the entries or publish a draw record.

Does the spin wheel support images and colors?

Yes. Open Customize wheel to select a color theme, set individual segment colors, add participant images, customize the center, change the spin duration, and control sounds.

A practical set of draw tools

Use the random winner picker for a list, the wheel for a visual choice, the raffle draw for numbered tickets, or multiple-winner draw for an ordered list of winners. Each tool has its own settings and result actions.

Entrant lists remain in the current page session. Refreshing or leaving the page clears them. Copy or download results when you need a local record.

How to run a clear, transparent random draw

Good drawings begin with clear rules. Before choosing a winner, explain who is eligible, when entries close, whether duplicate entries are allowed, how many winners you will select, and what happens if a winner cannot claim a prize. Share those rules before the draw so participants understand the process.

1. Confirm the list

Remove ineligible or incomplete entries and agree on how repeated names or tickets should count.

2. Explain the selection

Tell participants how many winners and alternates you will draw, and whether winners can be selected more than once.

3. Keep a record

Copy or download the results and note the date and rules used. These tools do not create an independent audit record.

For regulated contests, high-value prizes, or draws that require proof of fairness, use a process with independent oversight and verifiable records.

Ideas for every group

Random draw ideas for classrooms, teams, and events

Teachers can rotate classroom helpers, choose presentation order, or make a quick activity selection. Event organizers can pick door-prize recipients from ticket numbers. Teams can rotate meeting roles or choose a discussion prompt. Community groups can draw volunteers from an opt-in list.

For public giveaways, publish the entry period and eligibility rules in advance. Keep only the information needed to make the selection, and avoid putting sensitive personal details into a shared screen or downloadable result.

Drawmio runs without an account. Basic draw state stays in page memory; it is not uploaded or saved by Drawmio.
